German, mahogany cased 3 train bracket clock. The movement has ting tang strike on the quarters and strikes the hours on a series of spiral gongs. The dial is silvered brass and has a silvered chaper ring with Roman numerals and has supplementary dials for Slow/Fast adjustmenst and Chime/Silent. The movement plate is stamped “W+H Sch” for Winterhalder & Hofmeier, Schwarzenbach. Winterhalder & Hofmeier were considered one of the finest clocks makers in Germany in the 19c and early 20c. They were a family of clockmakers that were established in 1810 by Thomas Winterhalder. Fully restored with one years guarantee. Ref: h0500.
