Donegan, Longcase Clock - SOLD

Irish longcase clock by “Donegan” of Dublin.  The case is made of beautiful Burr Walnut and in stunning original condition.  The movement has features usually only seen in regulator style clocks.  These include features such as wood rod pendulum, deadbeat escapment and maintaining power.  Every aspect of the clock is completely original including the unique style weights characteristic of  a Donegan clock. Fully restored with one years guarantee.

John and Patrick Donegan were possibly Irelands most renowned clockmakers of the nineteenth century. Originally from Newtownbutler in Co. Fermanagh they moved to Dublin where they had a clock and watch making business along with a jewellery business in 2 shops in the city centre.
