Superb early 18th century longcase clock by renowned clockmaker “Luke Wise” from Reading. Eight day movement striking on a bell. 12″ brass dial with silvered chapter ring and with cast brass gilt spandrels. Supplementary dial for seconds and calendar aperture for date. Hood with full reeded columns and blind fretted frieze and dental moulding. Trunk with reeded quarter columns and bracket feet. Early Georgian longcase clock by Luke Wise who was a member of the “Clockmakers Company”. Fully restored with one years guarantee. Ref d0523.
